Don’t know if oshi no ko is fair to include in this list… I feel like any proper execution of that sort of story would see some sort of effect when you drop a third of your “star power” after the first episode and slowly have to rebuild your interest with new characters.

One of the stupidest rules i hated back in high school was that we weren't allowed to leave the school although we had ZERO classes that particular day. At some point i started brining a laptop or tablet to school just to kill some time. Which were, not allowed on paper and lips but no one cared. Wearing school uniform was mandatory although we had sculpting class that day which is extremely stupid since no matter what you wear on top ur uniform or anything you wear under would get literally "dirty"

This unjustified csm hate for the anime adaptation needs to stop, like genuinely what are people complaining about? Powers hair being a different color? The artstyle not being a copy and paste from the manga? Like it's genuinely so mind boggling, there aren't many series that got the treatment that csm got for it's manga adaptation yet it gets so much hate from the "fans". I have been a fan of csm for like a month so I'm not even being nostalgic, if something is good I'll defend it.

Unfortunately this is a huge trend in isekai. Everyone knows we have way too much isekai, but my main problem is that they keep greenlighting these ONE IDEA shows where it's OBVIOUS the mangaka had a SINGLE good idea, managed to make an intriguing and entertaining first mini-arc, but then have no freaking clue how to build an actually captivating overarching plot or purpose, desire, character development, proper world building etc. There's better and worse examples of this but my biggest pet peeve is when battle shows devolve into scrabble. Moves and techniques mean nothing, the MC will always have a new technique pulled out of their ass that just solves the new fight. No need to build on the existing traits, just shout "Sand wall of mud blast" and defeat the sand allergic ghost.

Countries like the USA that have a variety of multi-cultures in them and they bring those habits and teachings (good and bad) with them, they also bring them with them when they travel. Countries that are more homogeneous, like Japan, it’s easier to have a similar cultural respect, etc. Not all tourists from the same country that have multiple cultures in them (i’e’ USA) act the same way. It all comes down to how they were brought up at home and their upbringing. I know when I was in Japan with my son, we tried really hard to be respectful and follow the rules. Did we make some mistakes, yes, but we observed our surroundings and saw how the locals were acting and tried to mimic it (ie not walking and eating) or someone would politely help us if we were confused. But we didn’t do anything dangerous or totally outrageous. I did some research, talked to some friends who were stationed in Japan at the time, and made sure we were prepared. I do the same thing when I travel in Europe.

Kado is the single most disappointing anime for me. Even though it got weaker over time, it was still salvagable up until episode 7 I think when they introduced the whole romance element BS and it went completely off the rails from that point onwards.

For all you people making comment about the news headlines on the bottom of the tv screen. That is common in morning tv on all programs. Joey is extremely popular. I’m 67 and we have been watching his You tube channel for years. He did very well on live tv as he does a lot of live events.

As an outsider looking in, when I went to Japan especially in Akihabara there were some REALLY loud tourist in the shops. Even I was irritated about how loud these individuals got. How would you approach people like that consider that I too am a tourist should we SHHH them or ignore them?

I also think the general attention span is ruined. Like I'm 30 and I honestly just binge shorts and I get bored much easier with episodic series than what I used to before. I can't imagine how much worse it is with the younger generations. Downtime is definitely a killer.

At least there was a punishment handed out. I'm pretty sure that there are various minor who got away with heinous crimes, and yes I think that minors should be tried as an adult depending on their crime. Even if they're a minors, they're old enough to understand right from wrong. Punishment being low reminds me of a few cases that have happened, but in Korea. From what I remember they are very lenient with minors. There was a case where I think four minors stole a car, drove it and ran a red light and hit a man on his bike/motorcycle and unfortunately passed away. And they were basically given a slap on the wrist and one of them later on posting on social media all, "Look what I did and got away with." And the case that really shook quiet a few people was the couple who basically tort*red their 16 month adopted daughter causing her passing. And how lenient they were with them was absured. "Mother" had de*th penalty, then changed to life imprisonment but then changed to 35 years because they felt bad for her being in jail forever. And her husband got 15 I believe for being there and not stopping the ab*se.

The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was amazing then got horrible. They literally started repeating the same episode for like 8 episodes.

Chainsawman just seems a jujutsu kaisen with a different paint. Animation and combat is good, but as a story? I think it's average. People were hyping it like 9/10 or 8/10, but it ended up being a 6.5/10 for me.

I agree that the traditional method of language learning such as textbooks might not be for everyone. With that having been said, I personally use Immersive Translate to learn a new language, which has worked great for me so far. I use it to watch my shows on Netflix, and this has really helped me become immersed in the language.

Honestly, in general, writing and portraying something amazing at the start and continue to be amazing throughout the arcs IS hard. I don't blame shows for not being able to do it. Or for shows to really be captivating to some midway but boring for others (Steins;Gate, MHA, RWBY etc).
